From September 2014, all Infant children became eligible for Free School Meals, giving them all access to a hot and healthy meal every day in partnership with Education Catering.  At Trosnant we are working hard to ensure that our children are making the most of this great opportunity and we would encourage all our parents to do the same.  We believe that the hot school dinner option is much better for the children’s learning and health.  We recognise the evidence that states

• Children are better prepared for learning if they eat well
• Children make more progress if they have eaten the right nutritional lunch
• Only 1% of packed lunches provide the correct nutrition
• Eating hot dinners is an important social occasion and the children learn vital social skills.

The Education Catering menu provides all the nutrients that children require through the week. they produce a menu which has a 3 week rolling cycle and is available for parents to view by following this link.

Online Payments

At Trosnant we have the option for parents and carers to use an online payment facility to pay for such things as dinner money, trips and Breakfast Club.

In order to register your child for online payments it will be necessary for the school office to send you an email to register. Once registered your account will allow you to log in each time and make the necessary payments using a credit or debit card.  It is also possible to register more than one child and more than one school on the same account. It is advisable to download the Arbor app as this gives us the best chance of communicating with you due to alerts you will receive when we send a message.
