Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’). Schools also receive funding for children who have been adopted or looked after continuously, and children of service personnel.

The funds are used effectively and supplemented by the school’s budget to provide additional support. Schools only receive this grant if parents register their eligibility. This is a very simple process and registering could provide valuable funding that will be used to support your child’s education. If you think that you might be entitled to FSM even though you are not currently claiming it please ring the school office on 02392 475606 to discuss it or check your entitlement by using the link below:

This money is used to provide targeted support, and equal access to all educational opportunities, for pupils who are at risk of not making expected progress.

Schools are required to publish online information about how they have used the Premium and the impact it has had.
